Benson--Britain's most famous carp--has died. This news has been on the front page of London Times, on BBC Radio, and dozens of other media outlets. All of which goes to show you, the British love their carp. (Embedded radio interview below).

Benson weighed 64 pounds and had been caught over 60 times. The cause of death has yet to be determined, but officials are not ruling out foul play (poison nuts). Benson was believed to be 25.
