This week we feature a 1936 photograph of noted outdoor writer Courtney Riley Cooper. Cooper was the namesake of a line of bamboo fly rods (made by South Bend) sold by a Denver catalog store.

I have a postcard that is titled Courtney Riley Cooper on Trembleur Lake, Douglas Lodge,BC. He is standing looking back and holding a string of fish up. Two actually. One is the silouette of him standing at the edge of the lake holding a fish up. Could this be the same Courtney Riley Cooper? He looks kind of similar to this fellow but dressed quite different. Definitely an avid fisherman. I collect postcards, specifically real photo ones of certain photographer.
