This week we start a brand new series on the Fishing Advertisement, mainstream American products that used fishing to hawk their wares. Our first one comes from the December 1924 The American Magazine, a leading literary journal of the day. It's a great ad from Kohler Company of Kohler, Wisconsin, a firm founded in 1873 and still making great American fixtures today. This ad was drawn by Elmer Brown, who I don't believe was the same Elmer Brown who gained fame in Cleveland, Ohio. It's a nifty ad.
