It is surprising how tough most early Creek Chub Bait Company paper is to find. Early letterhead and billheads from the company rarely turn up. This weeks feature is a 1945 Garrett, IND. postmarked Creek Chub Bait Co. envelope. It shows a nice illustration of Creek Chub's signature bait "The famous Pikie Minnow" complete with dual line ties and hand painted gills. I have seen this style envelope with postmarks as early as 1937 and as late as 1952. With all the business this company did, a lot more of these should turn up. I only see one or two of these a year come up for sale.

Best regards,
Jim Jordan
