Terry Oxley sends in the following "fancy fisherman" photo dated 1908. He writes:
Because it has a Woodruff, WI postmark (8/6/1908), looking at the background, I would say this was caught on Trout Lake...probably the largest lake in the area....3500 acres and nearly 100 feet deep. Lots of cold clear water....hard to fish, but there are huge fish there. It is also developing somewhat of a mercury problem....as I recall, it is naturally occuring, but the acid rain can't help.
