Thursday Review: The Salt Water Lure Collector's Club

Thursday Review: The Salt Water Lure Collector's Club

Dave Dennison sent me news of a new web site and collector's club that sounds fascinating. It's called the Salt Water Lure Collector's Club and it has a new web site up which you can check out by clicking here. Here is the press release for the club:

Saltwater lure collectors of the east coast unite and form a club dedicated to the history and preservation of Striped Bass Lures and history. After a year in the making, the SWLCC launches the website www.swlcc.com and starts taking members. The five founding members of the club are Frank Pintauro of New York, Roy Curley of Pennsylvania, Ed Poore of Massachusetts, Dave Dennison of New Hampshire and Frank Richardson of New Hampshire.

The first annual Saltwater Lure Collectors club show is scheduled for July 31st, 2010 at the Courtyard Marriott in Nashua, NH.

The club offers an online research library that is loaded with great articles and information for those interested in collecting vintage and contemporary lures.

I've been fascinated by striper history for some time and have worked at amassing a ton of information on the subject. I think this is a great idea and one who's time has definitely come.
