The following want ad was run in the 27 May 1900 San Francisco Call newspaper. Included in the lot -- for the princely sum (at the time) of $174.00 -- were four fly rods (three Hiram Leonards), a Leonard bi-metal fly reel, and three other reels. What a find this would be today!

An approximate inflation rate over the time span is 2000% so that would work out to about $3500. Still a great price!
