1000 Words

This week in 1000 Words we feature a late 1970s photo of one of my favorite ballplayers from my youth -- "Fast" Freddy Lynn, the outfielder for the Boston Red Sox. As the Bosox are having one of their most awful years in a decade or more, it might be nice for them to reminisce about the days when the outfield of Lynn, Rice, and Yastrzemski (and Dwight Evans) struck fear in A.L. pitchers. Here he is spin fishing in one of the local Boston streams.
