This January 1924 Sporting Goods Journal ad tell us of the new flyrod lure line that Creek Chub has decided to enter as well as the introduction of the Fintailed Shiner. In small print below the Fintail Shiner is a note: "We also make the fintail Shiner with metal fins and tail with body weighted for ice decoy."
