1000 Words

Float trips in the Missouri Ozarks became popular in the 1930s and 1940s, getting national attention in the sporting magazines and even in Life Magazine, where the following picture was run on 23 June 1941. It shows a classic flat bottom guide's boat almost tipping over as a couple of female anglers struggle with a big bass. Nifty photo!
